This piece of audio is very challenging to clean up but you’ve managed to improve it. One issue is that the Internet Archive copy of this piece didn’t have a longer silent segment to sample before applying a filter.

This effect works pretty well. The effect on Audacity accomplishes the speed-up without raising the pitch of your voice (which would happen if we just compressed the sound wave).

You’ve got a good voice for audio and good microphone too. Modern gear has reduced the need for some of the editing and filtering tools we have available but it’s always good to use them when needed.
