Location
I live on a small property South of High River Alberta.
Where do you work?
I work as an Academic Chair at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). I oversee our Crane, Ironworker, RV Technician and Rail Conductor programs.
Bio
I’m a dual-ticket tradesman (welder-millwright) who moved into a teaching position in 2007. I taught at both Secondary and Post-Secondary levels and have just recently moved into a leadership role.
Interests
I like to blacksmith, fish, hunt, hike and occasionally write. Sometimes curling up with my family on the couch with a movie or book is nice too.
Social Media Accounts
We use D2L (brightspace) at SAIT, but I am open to whatever gets thrown at us. The more options we have, the better we can serve our students. I have a lot to learn about media. I have personal media accounts with Facebook and LinkedIn, and accounts on Twitter and Instagram, but hardly use them.

EDDL 5131 ON2 – Designing Multimedia for Curriculum (Winter 2021 Webster) This course is designed to introduce educators, and thus their students, to computer and web-based multimedia tools such as text, video, audio and digital photographs and graphics. There will be an emphasis not only on how to use the tools, but also on sound pedagogical practice to promote teaching and learning. Students in this course will learn how to identify, select, plan for, create, and integrate multimedia into instruction and have their students do the same in activities such as reports, digital story-telling, and portfolios.
