Introduction
Now it is time to take a more personal approach to design. Each of us has particular interests and perspectives. We bring our unique lifeworlds and worldviews to the work of designing instruction and our uses and approaches to integrating technology. Who we are, where we come from, and how we see ourselves in the world will influence the choices we make about what to teach, how to teach, and how we think learners will respond to our learning design approaches. As you make choices about how you integrate technology you may want to consider design from a variety of lenses.
Each of the following articles considers design from a different theoretical lens or different worldview including inclusive design, intercultural considerations, indigenous pedagogies and open education. They are just a small sample, so you may want to use the TRU Library to find an instructional or learning design article from the academic literature that meets something from your own interest to consider. Choose two articles to read. You will need to consider these different perspectives in Assignment 2 as you start to plan your prototype lesson.
